Gettin’ my ass in shape.

Well, like I said, this started as a way to document my running habit. I don’t want that to be only topic for obvious reasons, but I hit a couple of milestones this weekend and I thought I’d share.

1. I did my first double digit run. Saturday I ran 10 (and a wee bit) miles. I was feeling guilty for missing my wednesday run and feeling pretty good as well, so I figured what the hell. Felt great up to mile 8 at which point I started to suffer a little bit, but I finished just fine and I’m looking forward to more double digit runs.

2. Sunday I ran my 100th run since I started this fiasco back in mid-June (the 17th I believe). My runs for the first two weeks were a whopping 1.25 miles at a stretch for a total of around 8 miles a week. As of run number 100, I’ve totalled 372 miles and I’m averaging 30+ miles a week this month.

I’ve lost a decent chunk of weight (don’t own a scale, so I have no idea how much) and dropped a couple of pants sizes as well. Always fun to see those numbers dropping.

Anyway, enough bragging for now.
