The Running Munckee is Reborn!
It’s got a direction! It’s got a home, including its own URL! It’s completely integrated into my personal website (or will be as soon as my DNS something-or-others propagate)! It’s HERE!
Speaking of L.A.
I got back late Saturday, which was, in my opinion, far better than the crew who took the red-eye and got in early Saturday. I had time to put in 10 miles on the beach where I don’t usually get to run (somehow the Hudson doesn’t count).
The shoot went well overall. It was definitely a learning experience. Turns out it was far more hands-off than I had expected. Given my background (in acting/directing), I had hoped for the opportunity to interject some thoughts. I had that opportunity…three times removed. Thoughts were relayed through a few different people before they finally made it to the _____ (actor, director, whoever). Not that this was wrong or a problem with our shoot, it was simply different than I’d expected not having been on a shoot before.
So am I ready to move to LA? Not a chance. The beach is great. The weather was awesome while we were there. But it didn’t feel right. It felt like a giant version of San Antonio because it was so spread out. I think if I have to choose a big city, I’m happy in NY where everything is crammed together and doesn’t require a car. Or sitting in traffic to get five miles. The stench is always an added bonus here in NY too.
